A reminder that our book fair will be in school all this week. Books are available to buy after school every night.
Families are invited into classes on Thursday 7th June, at 2.30pm. Each class will complete a shared activity until 3.10pm. Once the children are dismissed at the end of the day, staff will be on the field with an additional choice of outdoor activities, which families can join in with. Refreshments will be served.
The whole school had a lovely time at our special picnic to celebrate the Royal Wedding. We had scones with jam, cucumber sandwiches and a special cake. Afterwards we played games.
The whole school had a brilliant day, celebrating the wedding of Prince Harry ad Meghan Markle. There were some amazing outfits on show, and after a parade round the hall, everyone started their wedding activities.
Gillian, our cook, made a fantastic Wedding lunch, and decorated the hall. The day ended with a lovely Royal picnic. Scones, cakes and cucumber sandwiches were enjoyed by all.
Year 5 and Year 6, with Mrs Blant and Mrs Tyson, are heading to the World War 1 battlefields in France and Belgium. Along with our friends in Pelton, the children will be immersed in the history of the time; visiting the sites of battles, memorials, museums, and also attending a memorial service at the Menin Gate.
Everyone is invited to come into school in their finest attire (crown and tiaras optional!), for a day of fun and celebration. The whole school has lots of activities planned to commemorate the wedding of Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle. The highlight will be a picnic on the field, with cucumber sandwiches and cakes.
Just a reminder that Key Stage 2 SATs start on Monday 14th May, and continue until Thursday 17th May. Full details will be given to Year 6 children and their families.
There will be a film night in school, for Key Stage 2 children, on Tuesday 1st May. Details to follow.
There will be a meeting for the families of Year 6 children, at 3.20pm on Tuesday 24th April. Mrs Russell will explain the process and share tips for supporting your children. There will be opportunities to ask questions and to look at past papers.
Well done to the worthy winners of this years Easter egg competition. We had some fantastic entries so judging was tough.
