Year 5 and Year 6, with Mrs Blant and Mrs Tyson, are heading to the World War 1 battlefields in France and Belgium. Along with our friends in Pelton, the children will be immersed in the history of the time; visiting the sites of battles, memorials, museums, and also attending a memorial service at the Menin Gate.
Everyone is invited to come into school in their finest attire (crown and tiaras optional!), for a day of fun and celebration. The whole school has lots of activities planned to commemorate the wedding of Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle. The highlight will be a picnic on the field, with cucumber sandwiches and cakes.
