This time of year is always cold and a great time to explore and learn about the outdoor environment. The children will be learning about animals that live in cold climates and how other animals survive in the winter. Meg from Dobbies will be visiting us for a second time to help us to look after birds in the winter by making bird food and bird feeders. We are hoping for snow and at the first opportunity, we will wrap up and go outdoors to build snowmen. We will learn how water turns to ice and at what temperature ice begins to melt. This half term we will have a Valentines cinema morning sharing drinks and treats with special friends. On Shrove Tuesday we will make pancakes to eat together.
