On Friday the 15th of May the children in KS2 had the chance to work with Gillian Bell, a representative of the House of Commons. The children learned how to become a Member of Parliament and how government bills are proposed and passed into laws. The children then worked in groups to create their own political party and spent the afternoon writing a manifesto and campaigning. The afternoon finished with the children presenting their political arguments and after some heated debating and all the votes were counted, the Green Party came out on top. Pheobe was elected Prime Minister by her peers.
