We have celebrated Sports Week in school this week. The children have had a great week taking part in a wide range of activities and they even had the opportunity to try some new sports.
On Monday 20th June the children in KS2 took part in an Olympic Play in a Day. An actor came in to work with the children to act out scenes to depict how the Olympics began. The children all worked very hard together to retell the story of the Olympic games and the journey to the opening ceremony in Rio. They then performed to an audience at the end of the day.
On Tuesday 21st June all children had the opportunity to make their own smoothie by mixing fruit in a blender that was attached to a static bike. They all managed to pedal their way to a delicious fruit smoothie. The children learnt about healthy eating, exercise and sustainable energy.
