Ex-officio by virtue of office as headteacher/principal
I have been a primary school teacher for 20 years, gaining experience in a number of schools. I have worked closely with the Governing Body of the Beamish and Pelton Federation for the past three years since taking up my role as Deputy Headteacher at Pelton Community Primary School. I am passionate about my work here and have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside staff, governors, children and their families. My role in the governing body is to work alongside other governors to ensure the highest possible quality of education is being provided. Being a part of the governing body and its various committees allows me to share with other governors direct experience of the impact of decisions we make. At the Beamish and Pelton Federation, staff and governors work closely as a team to enable both schools to continue to grow and flourish, providing even greater outcomes for our children and their families.
